Melody of Retrospection!

Looking back to my childhood, I would always listen to the song entitled  "Tomorrow" . As a child, everyday is exciting and it seems that you can;t wait for tomorrow to come. This was the song that shaped my childhood and a song that was already engrave in my heart, a song that reminded me that I was once a child and had memories to be cherished. Tomorrow is a song from the musical Annie, with music by Charles Strouse and lyrics by Martin Charnin. The song apparently pronounces an optimistic view of life through its main themes, 'hang on until tomorrow' and 'when I'm stuck with a day that's grey and lonely, I just stick out my chin and grin'.The song was also sang by Lea Salonga, one of the greatest singer in the Philippines.

The possible anthem of my life would be "I believe I can fly". In my life, there are doubts and mistakes that are unchangeable. All I need to do is believe that i can do things better and not to repeat the same mistake again. I just need to believe in myself that I can achieve my goals and dream in life amidst all the struggles. I will spread my wings for me to able to touch the sky which is my dreams. This song was written and sung by R. Kelly. He originally wrote it for Space Jam, a kid's movie. The song flourished than the movie itself and won the 1997 Grammy Award for Best R & B Song.

Zeal in Him!

"I'll Be" is the song I would dedicate to  my special someone. I'll be his crying shoulder and i'll be the greatest fan of his life. I'll be by his side and be there when he needs me. It song was written and sung by an American singer - Edwin Mccain. Mccain wrote this song as a   prayer  in a moment of personal desperation after a break-up, the idea  that maybe if he write his  future, it'll come true. Although his intention for this song was a prayer, the song was commonly used at weddings.

If my special someone would sing a song for me, it would be "A Thousand Years".  I just want him to serenade me with this song and pour his emotion in it. The song will just tell me how he really feels and he just needs the right emotions to convey it. :) The song was written and sung by an American singer- songwriter Cristina Perri. The song was played during the movie Twilight- Breaking Dawn  Part 2 and marked the blossoming career of Christina.

Rhythm of Life!

I think this song really tells the story of my life- "Pagsubok". In my life, there are problems that I really think I cannot surpass but here I am, winning the battle. This song just tells me that I am not the only person who had problems and I just need to keep on fighting and I did! I reach this point of my life because of winning the battle that I have to surpass. This was sung by Orient Pearl, a Philippine rock band. The band is fronted up by its vocalist Naldy Padilla, it features a line up of lead guitar, keyboard, bass, and drums. Orient Pearl became one of the most prestigious and important bands in the Philippines which gained much airplay on radio station nationwide. Two of the most popular songs on the first album was “Pagsubok” (Trials) and “Kasalanan” (Sin). The songs inspire every human to be strong in the song “Pagsubok” while the other one is asking for another chance.

Power within the Song!

A song that inspires me when I'm down.

"Beautiful"
This song talks about how all the words of insecurities and doubts never brings me down. I am born this way and your words does not matter because this is my life and I'll be who I wanna be. It encourages me to fight and go on with life for I am the only CAPTAIN of my OWN SHIP! It was written by Linda Perry and sung by Christina Aguilera. Perry wrote the song as her comeback song but she gave it to Christina who fall in love with the song. The song made Christina won a Grammy Award.

A song that soothes me!

"Bridge of Light"
Whenever I hear this song it always reminds me that anger will bring you no where. As the song says" don't let our anger get us lost", we have to look for the light and be guided of the decisions we made and the future is right ahead of us.It was sung by Pink, an American singer-song writer. This song was featured in Happy Feet where Pink played the role of Gloria, the penguin who had an amazing voice, the spouse of Mumble and the mother of Eric.

First and Hopefully the Last!

"Lucky", every time I hear this song it always reminds me of him- my first love. We were the best of friends that eventually lead to the next level. Although there are times  that it turns gray and walk in opposite paths, we still found ourselves in each other's hands as of this moment. We are "coming home" in each other's arms. This song was written and sung by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat, they are a fan of one another and just wrote a song. Colbie on her part was having a hard time to relate because she was never in love with her best friend until her boyfriend came and they sing the song the song every night on stage and relate 100%.

"I will be Here" ,this song really just tells how a woman wants the rest of her life will be with her love. It seems to be a promise that no matter what, he will always be there and whenever the time comes that everything changes we will always be there for each other. This song was written and sung by Steven Curtis Chapman to her wife Mary Beth, they were married at a young age and had many doubts. He believed in marriage and his parents' divorce did not hinder him in having a peaceful married life. He dedicated this song to his wife that what happened to his parents would never happen to them and that he will always be there for her no matter what.

Wedding to Death!

A song that I would want to have as my Wedding Dance!

"I can't help Falling in love with you"
The song really is love itself. Some things are meant to be and we are meant for each other and I can't really help myself from falling in love with you (future husband- who you might be). It really is so romantic dancing with your groom with this song. This was sung by Elvis Presley, it was not really a sung for his love interest but it was a birthday gift to his grandmother. He gave his grandmother a music box and as she open it, the song started to play and Elvis Presley sang along with it. Elvis Presley was an American musician and actor and was referred to as the "King of Rock and Roll".

A song that would be played at my funeral.

"Farewell"
When I depart from this world, I want this song to be played while they guide me to my last abode. I don't want them to cry for me, rather I want them to reminisce the memories we have and treasure it. All the memories that we have are my treasure, I just hope it's the same in their part. The song reflects the meaning itself.  It was sung by Raymond Lauchegco, an accomplished Filipino concert and recording artist with roots in musical theater. His foray into show business began at the age of 12.

Tune of Memories!

A song that reminds me of the important people in my life - my family.

"Salamat"
This song really just relay the message and emotion itself. I'll always say thank you to my family for all the things that they have done for me and how they keep me going in life. Even if someday my voice will no longer be heard,  I'll always be saying thank you! This song was made and sung by Yeng Constantino, a Filipino pop rock singer and actress and the Grand winner of Pinoy Dream Academy. She wrote this song inside the house and launche her album after winning- the album was entitled SALAMAT.

A song that people can listen to to remind them that I exist :)

"Stronger"
I guess  my colleagues will remember me when they hear this song. They picture me somewhat as a strong person, a strict one, one that can fight back and the one whom you don't want to mess with ;). This song was sung by Kelly Clarkson, it refers to the time where her boy leaves her and yet she doesn't feel empty. She was happy and was contended of what had happen and consider herself free.

Fave to the Nth Power!

A song from my fave movie!

"Hungry Heart"
I heard this song from the movie "Warm Bodies" and I immediately fell in love with its tune and the lyrics. It seems that he was lost and could not turn back but to keep going and looking for someone to share his days and nights with. Everyone is longing for someone to be with and share his/her life to. The singer was  Bruce Springsteen,  an American musician, singer, songwriter, and humanitarian. The song was actually made for the Romones, an American punk rock band but Bruce keep it for himself in the advice of his manager and the song made him famous and was included in the Billboard Hot 100.

A song from my fave band!
 "Run to me"
I really loved all there songs but this song really is my favorite. It really convey the emotions, how you want a particular person to love you but he/she can't seem to notice you. Just " Run to me" whenever you're lonely, if you need a shoulder and if you need someone older, it seems that you are always there even though he/she failed to notice how you love her/him. It was sung by Bee Gees(call me an outdated music lover but I really admired and love them) a pop music band  formed in 1958. Their line-up consisted of brothers Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb. The trio were successful for most of their decades of recording music, but they had two distinct periods of exceptional success; as a popular music act in the late 1960s and early 1970s, and as prominent performers of the disco music era in the late 1970s. They wrote it at their manager's house in Beverly Hills. He was a great visionary and championed our beliefs and chemistry as brothers. Lyrically, this song chronicles the wishes of a man who longs to be noticed by a broken-hearted girl."

HapGedy Love!

A song that makes me realize how happy being in love is!

"Brown Eyes"
This song makes me reminisce how we met and fell in love. It was a story of love right from the start and until the end, it really contains the real piece of being in love- having arguments and compromising afterwards. I mean it's the reality and is really happening. This song was sung by a an american girl group - Destiny's Child.

A song that really broke my heart </3

"Dancing on my Own"
It was really unfortunate how you give your "all" to the person you love but then you're not the one he/she was settling with. As the song says " I'm giving it my all, but I'm not the guy she's taking home", it was really sad how all the things that you've been through as a couple just ended with a catastrophic GOODBYE! In this tale of heartache, it was said that Robyn was watching the man she loved with another woman in the dance floor unaware of her presence. Hence, the song was born. This song was another version of Robyn's Dancing on my Own, it was sung by Calum Scott that lead him as one of the golden buzzers of America's got talent.

Songs of Emotions

A song that makes me happy and inspired at the same time :)

Everything's gonna be Alright

Bob Marley's "Everything's gonna be alright" really makes me happy and carefree. It really gives me the assurance that what I am facing right now has solutions and everything's gonna be alright. Bob Marley was inspired by the three little birds that he found at his windows which are Pelicans and pooof! a song was made. Other than being a songwriter and a singer he was also the world ambassador of reggae which make me admire him more.

A song that crushed my heart into bits:( </3

" A Song for Rafael"

I was deeply moved by this song and I cannot imagine how a mother would go through with such pain in her heart. A mother who was extremely happy of an angel but then was devastated of letting that angel go. It really crushed my heart, :(  It was written and sung by Tanya Chinita, so bad I couldn't find any information of her but I think she had been through a lot and deserves another angel in her life.
