Tips for Traveling in Restriction!

Everyone wants to travel , I mean who doesn't? WE all have the urge to travel but the big question would be "Where would we get the money for the expenses?" IT is expected that when you travel , you spend more that want you've expect. So to those who want to travel with a thin line of money, here are the tips that you should follow.

1. Plan Ahead

Everything gets more expensive the longer you wait – airplane tickets, hotel reservations, not to mention all the early bird deals you miss out on for cruises and other travel packages. So plot out your destinations early and start scouting the deals as early as possible.

2. Travel Off- Peak

Whether you’re buying trans-continental plane tickets or booking seats on a train for a weekend getaway, sticking to off-peak times can seriously cut cost. If you can, try planning your trip during an off-peak season to save big. Peak times can vary depending on your destination, but typically major holidays and spring and summer breaks are good times to avoid.

3. Avoid having too many baggage

Some airlines charge extra when you check a bag. Either stick to the ones that allow passengers their first checked bag free, or leave the bulky suitcase at home. If you’re planning on visiting a few different locations, this will be easier in the long run, as large luggage can be cumbersome.

4. Choose a Hotel Alternative

Sure, the little bars of soap and fresh white sheets are nice, but the luxury can pack on hundreds of extra money depending on where you stay. There are a variety of other options available to travelers, ranging from hostels , which allows travelers to rent rooms or apartments from locals, where you can find a spare couch or bed to crash on in each city you visit.

5. Avoid Dining Out

Beachside restaurants are great, but can easily add an extra money  to a night out (especially if you’re treating your family.) Instead, stock up on groceries and cook a nice meal you can bring to the beach. Breakfast, especially, is easy to make wherever you’re staying (in some establishments it’s complimentary.) For lunch, toss a sandwich in your bag. Not only will it save money, but you won’t have to derail your day by stopping at a cafĂ©.

6. Skip the Souvenir

Shot glasses and t-shirts are cute and fun, but they add tons of unnecessary costs (not to mention weight to your suitcase). If you want to remember a location, snap a picture with your phone. And if you want to bring something back for friends and family, try something simple and quirky, like a coaster from a bar or a shell off a beach – only at the places that allow you to take, of course.

7. See what's free

8. Check out the discounts

Some establishments offer great deals that range from tours to spa days to great discounts on merchandise. If you are planning to hit a hot destination during your stay, be sure to browse some discount sites first to see how you might be able to save.

9. Bring your own Bottle

Like food, drinks can seriously pad your nightly bill. If you’re planning for a couple nights on the town during your trip, opt for buying yourself a nice bottle of wine or whiskey over a bunch of expensive drinks at a bar. If you want to experience the pub scene, stick to pints, as they’re often the cheapest alternative, or see if the bar has a nightly drink special..

Places on the Dot!

These are the countries that I really want to visit and explore.

I really want to visit Paris, it is my dream yo set foot on its land and explore the views. It was also said that if you bring your special someone to Eiffel Tower and express your love to each other, you'll end to be together forever. I just want to know if its true. :)

Rio de Janeiro. I first saw the view from watching Rio, the cartoon movie that was played by birds. Even though it was just animated, I fell in love with place and wants to really witness the adventure that awaits me there. It would be one of the best day of my life.

Annyeonghaseyo! Aside form the scenic views and luxury hotels, I just want to see Korean actors like Song Joong Ki and many more but he would be the best motivation to reach Korea. I really love their movies, it is really something that only they could make. Its awesome.

Japan was really a place to explore. I want to visit japan not just of the views it offers but because of their animation industry :). I really admired how they pull off their animation that blooms all through out. The first animations was produced by a Japanese. Its just amazing how they started and how it cherished all these years.

Resulta ng larawan para sa greece

Greece was rally magnificent in view. I really want to experience their culture and visit the places that they offered to their Gods and Goddesses. I don't know I just really admired Greek Myth that makes me want to visit to the place where it all originally started. Although most of those buildings were ruined, I just want to see it for myself.  Greece, just wait I'll be there soon!

Kaluguran ta ka!

I love Philippines not because I was born here but because of the factors that makes me a Filipino and how she makes me safe. These are the reasons why I love Philippines, my mother land.

Hospitality is the most admired characteristics of the Filipinos. We, Filipinos are hospitable not only to the foreigners but also to our "kababayan". We value our friends, family and acquaintances so much and tend to welcome them with our arms wide open. It's only in the Philippines that you are welcome wholeheartedly even if your just a stranger.

Close Family ties, I always adore how we Filipinos treasure our family. This feature Is only present in the Philippines. We believe in the saying "The more, the merrier". We love our family so much and when the reunion comes, watch out for your house will be crowded with your bloodline.

Boodle Fight! WE really love to eat together with our families and friends. This another way of bonding, eating and making memories with each other.

Filipinos are forever thankful. One trait of the Filipinos that cannot be ignored. Even though our viand is dried fish, we are thankful for having the dish and eat three times a day. Eating dried fish is not a determiner that one is poor, but it shows that Filipinos are not choosy in terms of food and value everything that was served before hand.

Lastly, we have this vast amount of faith. We are faithful to Him and Him alone. Our faith really lies beneath us and shapes our culture and belief in life.  It is in the Philippines where you can see people with diverse religion but still get along with each other and sets the differences behind.

The Awes of NIR!

In a certain province, there are relaxing places that you need to visit; Festivals you have to witness and foods you have to savor. Here are some places festivals and food you must try when you visit Negros Island region!

Places to visit!

White Sand Bar in Manjuyod - The surge in popularity is due to its unique and untouched habitats, stunning white sand beach and pristine blue green waters.

Niludhan Falls in Bayawan City - Niludhan Waterfalls is a total of 3 sets of steep, plunging, narrow waterfalls that merge into one strong cascade after heavy rain. The water at the falls is warm and ideal for swimming. For more daring swimmers, there is a ledge behind the waterfalls for diving or free falling. Smooth, flat rocks line the edge of the basin before the water spills off into a stream.

Bahura Resort and Spa in Dauin - This premier beach resort, located in Dauin, offers a variety of recreational activities. Bahura is a beachside property housed within a coconut plantation and is only half an hour from Dumaguete Airport. Guests will enjoy easy access to a variety of locations such as numerous historical, cultural, and tourist attractions.
Mambukal Resort - Mambukal Resort in Murcia, Negros Occidental is one of the most popular mountain resorts in the Philippines. At 1,200 meters above sea level, it is also one of the highest mountain resorts, serving as a gateway—or an exit, depending where you came from—to the vast and verdant Mt. Kanlaon National Park. Mambukal Resort boasts of a perfect blend of natural features and man-made amenities that can provide fun, excitement, and relaxation for everyone.

Antulang Beach Resort of Siaton-  proud to be the only resort in Negros island with private pool villas as well as suites and cottages equipped with heated outdoor jacuzzis among other amenities. Suspended on seven sprawling hectares of sheer cliffs peppered with bright-colored bougainvilleas, swimming pools and premium rooms are positioned right at the cliffs’ edge, ensuring guests a commanding view of an endless sea, while winding staircases lead directly to a half-kilometer stretch of isolated white sand beach.

Festivals to Witness!

Masskara festival of Bacolod - The term Masskara is coined from two words: mass, meaning crowd, and the Spanish word cara, for face; thus the double meaning for "mask" and "many faces". The Masskara festival was first conceived in 1980 to add color and gaiety to the Bcolod City's celebration of its Charter Day anniversary, on 19 October. The symbol of the festival - a smiling mask - was adopted by the organizers to dramatize the Negrenses happy spirit, despite periodic economic downturns in the sugar industry.

Tawo-Tawo festival of Bayawan - Tawo-Tawo festival was born in celebration and remembrance of such bountiful harvests, portraying the two important elements of the fields: the scarecrow and the mayas. Woven together, the two form a spectacular portrait of rich history and culture.

Sandurot Festival of Dumaguete - Sandurot which means, "fellowship and reaching out," and is derived from the Visayan word “pakig-sandurot” for the offering and enjoyment of hospitality. It is a colorful, annual fiesta event to commemorate Dumaguete’s rich history dating the pre-Hispanic period where peoples of different and foreign cultures, including Chinese, Japanese and Spanish, came together to create a diverse community that is Dumaguete today.

Mudpack Festival of Mambukal - a symbolic celebration of man’s return to primitive time when he was closer to nature. Oneness with nature is the underlying theme behind this annual mud-moving spectacle. Check on its murky highlight - a lively street dancing parade with the participant wearing nothing but mudpacks (well, almost...). It's a surefire way to mix our ecological concerns with good, clean, cloddy fun - just be sure to shower afterwards!

Babaylan festival of Bago - A festival newly conceptualized by the City of Bago and celebrated during the Charter Anniversary every 19th of February. Babaylan Festival is based on the rituals performed by the Babaylans, like rituals on marriage, baptism, healing, harvest and others. Babaylans get their healing powers from the unseen spirits.

Foods to Savor!

Baye - baye of Bayawan - baye-baye is a delicacy which is interestingly popular only in Bayawan and not in any rice farming towns in the province. It is an Ilonggo delicacy brought by migrants to Bayawan which shows how food culture moves together with people.

Budbod of Tanjay - Tanjay's budbud always come in pairs in a full (and sticky) embrace, like lovers. Be it big or small in size, the signature taste that marks it as Tanjay-made is consistent. So when you visit the town, make sure to sample the tender, chewy, moist, and sweet budbud -- and bring home some as pasalubong to complete your trip.

Chicken Inasal of Bacolod - Inasal which means “cooked over fire”. This is a local version of pork or chicken barbecue. It is cooked with red achuete or annatto seeds giving it a reddish color and brushed on oil and cooked over the fire. It’s cheap and affordable as well as delicious. Also, Ilongos put on herbs and spices that made their inasal special.

These are just a few of the places festivals, and foods that Negros Island can offer. Come and Enjoy your life with us Negrense.
